New year, (some) new resolutions
Happy new year, everyone! Last year I made a number of resolutions, most of which I did not end up keeping. I did video more often in 2011 than I had in 2010 but even then, I didn’t manage to keep up with the ‘vlog every day’ attempts that I made. The 365 days of photography project has come along really well however – I kept that up even though I haven’t uploaded photos for over a month thanks to my recent experience with the side-effects of medication. I will get those photos online today, however, so I will be back up to speed.
As for the rest of last year’s resolutions, I didn’t go windsurfing or rock climbing because we ended up finally buying a house after six years of trying to get onto the housing ladder. This took up the majority of our finances and so we couldn’t really justify the expense of taking up such costly hobbies.
I haven’t lost weight and my accent has remained mostly incomprehensible to people and as a result I have failed in my final two resolutions. Way to go, me. Still, two out of six resolutions isn’t too bad, is it?
Last night a couple of friends were over, so Jade, Jennifer and I decided to make a group video showing our resolutions:
I will add the missed resolutions from last year on to the pile to make the following resolutions for 2012.
- Vlog more often;
- Try windsurfing;
- Try rock climbing;
- Lose weight; and
- Get my original accent back.
Let’s see how I get on!
